Front to Rear


    Object Number: 384496  Size: SH
  1. Loosen the bolts (1) that retain the lid to the hinge.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Align the lid as needed.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

Up and Down at Front Corners

  1. Remove the rear window trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Reveal Molding Replacement in Stationary Windows.

  2. Object Number: 384499  Size: MH
  3. Loosen the hinge lock screw (2).
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Insert the pin into the slots and push or pull the pin in order to adjust the rear compartment lid to the rear quarter panel.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
