Engine Coolant

A 50/50 mixture of clean water (preferably distilled) and use only GM Goodwrench® DEX-COOL® or Havoline® DEX-COOL® (orange-colored, silicate-free) coolant, conforming to GM Specification 6277M

Chassis Lubrication

Chassis Lubricant aerosol (GM P/N 1052497 or equivalent) or lubricant meeting the requirements of NLGI # 2, Category LB or GC-LB

Engine Oil

Engine Oil with the American Petroleum Institute Certified For Gasoline Engines STARBURST symbol of the proper viscosity. SAE 5W-30 is best for the vehicle. However, SAE 10W-30 can be used if the temperature is 0°F (-18°C) or above.

Hood Latch, Pivots, and Spring Anchor

Lubriplate Lubricant aerosol (GM P/N 1052497 or equivalent) or a lubricant meeting the requirements of NLGI # 2, Category LB or GC-LB

Hood Release Pawl
