ACCESSORY LUGGAGE CARRIER INSTALLATION

Models Affected: 1985 Somerset

Some comments have been received that decklid weatherstripping is being damaged by the screws securing the front of the accessory luggage rack (P/N 998882).

The instruction sheet accompanying the luggage rack was specifically developed for Century, Electra/Park Avenue and Skylark car installations. The instruction sheet does not apply to Someset car because it has a shorter deck lid.

To properly locate the luggage carrier on Somerset car installations, the 120mm dimension on the instruction sheet should be changed to 80m. (See illustration).
