SPARE TIRE TIE DOWN EXTENSION STUD

THIS BULLETIN SUPERSEDES DCS-85-08 IN GROUP 3 DATED OCTOBER 10, 1984 AND SALES PRODUCT INFORMATION BULLETIN 85-37 DATED OCTOBER 12, 1984. PLEASE DISCARD ORIGINAL INFORMATION AND REPLACE WITH THIS BULLETIN. AN EXTENSION STUD WITH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL THREADS MAY BE FOUND IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL PACKET IN THE GLOVE BOX. THE EXTENSION, PART NUMBER 14074027, EXTENDS THE SPARE TIRE AND WHEEL TIE-DOWN BOLT TO ALLOW FULL SIZE TIRE AND WHEEL STORAGE. INITIALLY ALL SOMERSET REGALS ARE BEING SHIPPED WITH THE EXTENSION. THE EXTENSION IS ONLY REQUIRED WITH ALUMINUM STYLED WHEELS (PX1). A CHANGE IS BEING MADE TO INCLUDE THE EXTENSION STUD ONLY WHEN PXI OPTION IS ORDERED. ADDITIONAL CHANGES IN PACKAGING AND LABELING ARE CURRENTLY UNDER CONSIDERATION ALONG WITH POSSIBLE RELOCATION TO THE TRUNK AREA. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR SALES/SERVICE PERSONNEL IN ORDER THAT THIS MAY BE EXPLAINED TO NEW OWNERS.
