RATTLE FROM FOLDING TOP STOWAG COVER LATCH (REPL. STRIKER)

SUBJECT: RATTLE FROM FOLDING TOP STOWAGE COVER LATCH

MODELS AFFECTED: 1990-1993 ALLANTES

The folding top stowage cover latch and striker (Figure 1) may rattle when driving over bumps on some 1990-1993 Allantes. The condition is caused by metal-to-metal contact between the striker and latch. To correct the condition replace the striker with a new plastic coated striker, P/N 3543744.

Parts are currently available from GMSPO.

For warranty purposes use Labor Operation B36S8 at .4 hour.
