Service Electrical System Message at Key Off - DTC B1372 - keywords DIC ECM ignition UBEC wire wiring

Subject:Service Electrical System Message at Key Off DTC B1372

Models:2004 Cadillac CTS-V


The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Some 2004 Cadillac CTS-V may experience a "Service Electrical System" message on at key off and a DTC B1372 stored in the DIM.

Recommendation/Instructions:

Inspect the Engine Control Module (ECM) connector C1 terminal 75. If there is no wire in terminal 75, perform the following:

  1. Run a new wire from the Under Hood Bussed Electrical Center (UBEC) connector C5 terminal 18 to the ECM connector C1 terminal 75.
  2. Replaced the Dash Integration Module (DIM) with the latest part number.
  3. Reprogram the ECM with the latest calibration.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
