    • J 8001 Dial Indicator Set
    • J 9666 Valve Spring Tester
    • J 8062 Valve Spring Compressor
    • J 41774 Valve Spring Compressor Adapter
    • J 8358 Carbon Removing Brush
    • J 41775 Valve Seal Installer
    • J 42096 0.075 OS Valve Guide Reamer
  1. Remove the lifters. Place the lifters sequentially in rack so they can be installed in their original order, if being reused.

    2. Object Number: 217378 Size: SH
  2. Use J 8062 and the J 41774 to compress the valve springs.

    3. Object Number: 217379 Size: SH
  3. Remove the valve stem keys (2).
  4. Remove the cap (3) from the valve stem.
  5. Remove the valve spring (4).
  6. Remove the valve seal (5).
  7. Remove the valve spring seat (6) from the cylinder head.
  8. Remove the valves (7). Place the valves sequentially in a rack so they can be installed in their original order, if being reused.
