Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
- Remove the differential drive pinion gear. Refer to
Drive Pinion Disassemble
.
Important: The use of needle-nose pliers may be used to remove the spacer.
- Remove the differential drive pinion gear bearing spacer (1) from the
differential drive pinion gear (2).
Installation Procedure
- Install the NEW bearing
spacer (1) onto the differential drive pinion gear (2).
- Install the differential drive pinion gear. Refer to
Drive Pinion Assemble
.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Road test the vehicle and check for leaks.
