Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 163250  Size: SH
  1. Open the rear compartment lid.
  2. Open the storage/cd player door (3) if replacing the passenger side combination lamp assembly.

  3. Object Number: 361404  Size: SH
  4. Remove the spare tire if replacing the driver's side combination lamp assembly. Refer to Spare Wheel and Hold-Down Replacement in Body Rear End.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connection.

  6. Object Number: 361398  Size: SH
  7. Remove the four nuts retaining the tail/turn signal lamp.
  8. Remove the tail/turn signal lamp.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 361398  Size: SH
  1. Install the tail/turn signal lamp.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the nuts retaining the tail/turn signal lamp.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the tail/turn signal nuts until fully seated but not stripped.

  5. Connect the electrical connection.
  6. Install the spare tire if replacement of the driver's side tail lamp was performed. Refer to Spare Wheel and Hold-Down Replacement in Body Rear End.

  7. Object Number: 163250  Size: SH
  8. Close the storage/cd player door (3) if replacement of the passenger side tail lamp was performed.
  9. Close the rear compartment lid.
