Removal Procedure
- Remove the windshield
wiper transmission. Refer to
Windshield Wiper Transmission Replacement
- Remove the windshield wiper transmission upper link (1) from the
windshield wiper motor crank arm (6).
- Unclip the wiper motor harness connector from the wiper transmission
assembly.
- Remove the windshield wiper transmission nut (7) from the motor
(4).
- Remove the wiper motor crank arm (6) from the wiper motor (4).
- Remove the wiper motor bracket bolts (5) from the wiper motor
(4).
- Remove the wiper motor (4) from the wiper transmission assembly
(2).
Installation Procedure
- Install the wiper motor
(4) to the wiper transmission assembly (2).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the wiper
motor bracket bolts (5) to the wiper motor (4).
Tighten
Tighten the wiper motor bolts until fully seated but not stripped.
- Install the wiper motor crank arm (6) to the wiper motor (4).
- Install the wiper motor crank arm nut (7) to the wiper motor (4).
Tighten
Tighten the wiper motor crank arm nut until fully seated and not stripped.
- Clip the wiper motor harness connector to the wiper transmission
assembly.
- Install the wiper transmission upper link (1) to the wiper motor
crank arm (6).
- Install the windshield wiper transmission. Refer to
