Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front oil pan. Refer to Changing Fluid and Oil Filter .

  2. Object Number: 159640  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from solenoid valves (1, 2).
  4. Remove the solenoid valve bolts and clip.

  5. Object Number: 159645  Size: SH
  6. Remove force motor solenoid valve (3).
  7. Remove torque converter clutch solenoid valve (4).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 159645  Size: SH
  1. Install the torque converter clutch solenoid valve (4).
  2. Install the force motor solenoid valve (3).
  3. Install the solenoid valve clip and bolts.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Tighten
    Tighten the solenoid valve bolts to 10 N·m (87 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical connectors to solenoid valves (1, 2).
  6. Install the front oil pan. Refer to Changing Fluid and Oil Filter .
