Did you perform the Garage Door Opener System Check?

  1. Disconnect the inside rear view mirror connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  3. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 11 of the inside rear view mirror connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 4

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in CKT X900.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in CKT  X900.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 7

Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal 8 of the inside rear view mirror connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured resistance less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Go to Step 6

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in CKT F915.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in CKT F915.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 7

Replace the garage door opener. Refer to Garage Door Opener Replacement .

Is the replacement complete?

  1. Connect all connectors and components that were disconnected.
  2. Program the universal transmitter. Refer to Garage Door Opener Operation .
  3. Verify that the garage door opener operates properly.
