Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the grille. Refer to Grille Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  3. Remove the headlamp bezel. Refer to Headlamp Bezel Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  4. Remove the front bumper guard. Refer to Front Bumper Guard Replacement .
  5. Remove the front license plate bracket and/or cover. Refer to Front License Plate Bracket Replacement .
  6. Disconnect the main electrical connector located on the bottom left front corner of the fender.
  7. Remove the three screws located in the center lower of the front fascia.
  8. Remove the screw from the lower front fenders.
  9. Remove the one screw located on the inner edge of the front fenders.
  10. Remove the ambient air temperature sensor from the left front lower corner of the grille to remove the ambient air temperature sensor.
  11. Perform the following steps to remove the front fascia:
  12. 11.1. Put down a protective cover to prevent damage to the front fascia.
    11.2. Pull both corners of the front fascia away from the fenders and away from the retainers with the aid of a helper.
    11.3. Pull the front fascia away from the center of the front impact bar.
  13. Remove the fog and cornering lamps. Refer to Fog and Cornering Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  14. Remove the sidemarker lamps. Refer to Front Side Marker Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems
  15. Remove the electrical harness from the front fascia.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the electrical harness to the front fascia.
  2. Install the sidemarker lamps. Refer to Front Side Marker Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems
  3. Install the fog and cornering lamps. Refer to Fog and Cornering Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  4. Fit both corners of the front fascia to the front fenders and to the retainers with the aid of a helper to install the front fascia.
  5. Install the ambient air temperature sensor from the left front lower corner of the grille to remove the ambient air temperature sensor.
  6. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the one screw located on the inner edge each of the front fenders.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the front fascia to fender screws to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  9. Install the one screw to each of the lower front fenders.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the front fascia lower fender screws to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  11. Install the three screws located in the center lower of the front fascia.
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the front fascia center lower screws to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  13. Install the front license plate bracket and/or cover. Refer to Front License Plate Bracket Replacement .
  14. Install the front bumper guard. Refer to Front Bumper Guard Replacement .
  15. Install the headlamp bezel. Refer to Headlamp Bezel Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  16. Install the grille. Refer to Grille Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  17. Lower the vehicle.
