- Disconnect connector C500.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Press the rear window defogger switch ON.
- Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 19 of connector
C500 and a known good ground.
Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

- Locate an open or a high resistance in circuit FM10.
- Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit FM10.

- Disconnect the LH outside rear view mirror connector.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Press the rear window defogger switch ON.
- Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 8 of the LH
outside rear view mirror connector and a known good ground.
Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

- Repair the open or the high resistance in circuits FM2 and/or

rear view mirror connector and a good ground.
Is the measured resistance less than the specified value?
