Was the Outside Mirror System Check performed?

  1. Move the rocker switch to the RH side to choose the RH outside rear view mirror.
  2. Disconnect the RH outside rear view mirror connector.
  3. Activate the outside remote control rear view mirror switch to the left and then to the right.
  4. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminals 1 and 3 of the RH outside rear view mirror connector.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 4

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuits R11, R110, R4, FA4, FA7 and/or FA700.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuits R11, R110, R4 and/or FA4, FA7 and/or FA700.
  3. Replace the outside remote control rear view mirror switch if these circuits are OK. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement in Doors.

Is the repair or replacement complete?

Go to Step 7

  1. Activate the outside remote control rear view mirror switch upward and downward.
  2. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminals 2 and 3 of the RH outside rear view mirror connector.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 6

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuits P3, P30, P2, FA4, FA7 and/or FA700.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuits P3, P30, P2, FA4, FA7 and/or FA700.
  3. Replace the outside remote control rear view mirror switch if these circuits are OK. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement in Doors.

Is the repair or replacement complete?

Replace the RH outside rear view mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement in Doors.

Go to Step 7

  1. Connect all connectors and components that were disconnected.
  2. Verify that the RH outside rear view mirror operates properly.

Does the RH outside rear view mirror operate properly?
