Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement .
  2. Remove the rear seatback cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement .
  3. Remove the center armrest from the rear seatback. Refer to Rear Seat Armrest Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 246253  Size: SH
  5. Remove the inner hinge bolt and nut that secures the rear seat back to the armrest support.
  6. Remove the rear seatback inner hinge.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 246253  Size: SH
  1. Install the rear seatback inner hinge.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the bolt and nut that secures the rear seatback hinge to the armrest support.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the inner hinge bolt and nut to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  5. Install the rear seatback center armrest. Refer to Rear Seat Armrest Replacement .
  6. Install the rear seatback cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement .
  7. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement .
