Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear window sunshade. Refer to Rear Sunshade Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 246043  Size: SH
  3. Remove rear window sunshade flywheel screw (3).
  4. Remove rear window sunshade transmission flywheel from the sunshade motor.
  5. Disconnect the sunshade motor electrical connector.

  6. Object Number: 246044  Size: SH
  7. Remove three screws and rear window sunshade motor from the sunshade assembly.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 246044  Size: SH
  1. Install the rear window sunshade motor to the sunshade assembly.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the sunshade motor screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the sunshade motors screws until fully seated but DO NOT strip.

  5. Connect the sunshade motor electrical connector.
  6. Install rear the window sunshade transmission flywheel by:
  7. 4.1. Turn sunshade motor clockwise untill the motor stops.
    4.2. Install sunshade transmission flywheel (2), it maybe necessary to turn the flywheel counter-clockwise until it egages on to the motor shaft (1).
  8. Install the sunshade transmission flywheel screw.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the sunshade transmission flywheel screw until fully seated but DO NOT strip.

  10. Install the rear window sunshade. Refer to Rear Sunshade Replacement .
