Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear window sunshade. Refer to Rear Sunshade Replacement .
- Remove rear window sunshade transmission flywheel screw (3).
- Remove rear window sunshade transmission flywheel (2) from the sunshade motor.
- Remove two clips retaining the sunshade transmission ends to the sunshade assembly.
- Remove the sunshade transmission from the sunshade assembly.
Installation Procedure
- Install the sunshade transmission to the sunshade assembly.
- Install the sunshade transmission ends to the sunshade assembly.
- Install the two clips retaining the sunshade transmission ends to the sunshade assembly.
- Install the rear window sunshade transmission flywheel by:
- Install the sunshade transmission flywheel screw.
- Install the rear window sunshade. Refer to Rear Sunshade Replacement .
| 4.1. | Turn sunshade motor clockwise untill motor stops. |
| 4.2. | Install sunshade transmission flywheel (2), it maybe necessary to turn the flywheel counter-clockwise until it egages on to the motor shaft (1). |
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the sunshade transmission flywheel screw until fully seated
but DO NOT strip.
