  1. Inspect and fill the windshield washer fluid container as necessary.
  2. Turn the ignition on.

Is the low windshield washer fluid indicator on?

Go to Step 3

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

  1. Disconnect the windshield washer fluid level switch connector.
  2. Connect a fused jumper wire from the low washer fluid indicator control circuit terminal to ground.
  3. Turn the ignition switch off and on.

Is the low washer fluid indicator illuminated?

Test and repair the low washer fluid indicator control circuit for an open or high resistance. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs or Connector Repairs .

Replace the instrument panel cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

Test and repair the windshield washer fluid level switch ground circuit for an open or high resistance. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs or Connector Repairs .

Replace the windshield washer fluid level switch. Refer to Windshield Washer Solvent Level Switch Replacement .
