Verify that all of the power windows are inoperative.

Does the system operate normally?

  1. Disconnect the Power Accessory Switch Panel.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Use a test lamp and probe between the battery positive voltage circuit on the switch connector and a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

  1. Make sure the ignition switch is in the RUN position.
  2. Use a test lamp and probe between the ignition voltage circuit on the Power Accessory Switch Panel connector and a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

  1. Make sure the ignition switch is in the RUN position.
  2. Use a test lamp and probe between the ignition voltage circuit on the switch connector that supplies voltage to the window motors and a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

  1. Make sure the ignition switch is in the RUN position.
  2. Use a test lamp and probe between the ground circuit on the Power Accessory Switch Panel connector and battery positive voltage.

Test the battery positive voltage circuit into the Power Accessory Switch Panel for an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the battery positive voltage circuit into the Power Accessory Switch Panel for a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the ignition voltage circuit into the Power Accessory Switch Panel for an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
