The front and rear side door window switches are located in each appropriate door. These switches operate their designated window. The driver door switch can operate all the windows and includes a rear window lockout switch. The rear window switches are operational only when the rear window lockout switch is in the UNLOCK position.
The power windows will still be operational when the ignition switch is turned to the OFF position until a door is opened. When a door is opened the corresponding door jamb switch will send a ground to the LH front side door window switch. Upon receiving the ground signal the LH front side door window switch will disable all window regulator motors by removing voltage from the express circuit of the regulator motors.
The power windows also have an express UP and DOWN feature. By pressing and holding any window switch in either the UP or DOWN position, the express feature will be activated.
Each window lifter contains a built-in programmable module to program the following features:
• | To program the end stops. |
• | To apply the pinch guard feature when necessary. |
• | To stop the power windows operation during Battery Saver Feature when any door is opened. |
