Did you perform the Power Sunroof Diagnostic System Check?

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Power Sunroof

1. Perform the setup procedure. Refer to Sunroof Motor Synchronization .
2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
3. Turn the sunroof switch to the fully open position. For a description of the sunroof switch positions, refer to Power Roof Systems Component Views .
4. Check the pinch guard operation by turning the sun roof switch to the closed position, as the sun roof is closing, obstruct it with something so that the sun roof does not fully close.
5. Once the sunroof actuator detects the obstruction, it should stop closing and open to a predetermined position.

Does the sunroof pinch guard operate properly?

Go to Step 3

Replace the sun roof actuator. Refer to Power Sunroof Motor Replacement .

Is the replacement complete?

Go to Step 4

--

1. Connect all connectors and components that were disconnected.
2. Operate the system (pinch guard feature) to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?
