| Description
|
Band Apply Solenoid
| F8
|
• | The TCM commands the Band Apply Solenoid to a duty cycle of 0%
or 100%. The value of the Band Apply solenoid scan tool parameter should match
the commanded state. |
• | Output control may be initiated if the following enabling conditions
are met. |
- | The engine speed is less than 1000 RPM. |
- | The vehicle speed is less than 5 mph (8 km/h) |
- | The transmission range selector lever is in P or N. |
• | Once output control is initiated successfully, the commanded state
of the Band Apply Solenoid may not be changed unless the enabling conditions
are met. |
• | Output control may be cancelled at any time by pressing the EXIT
key on the scan tool. When you exit output control, the TCM determines the
commanded state of the Band Apply Solenoid. |
|
PC
Solenoid
| F6
|
• | The TCM commands the amperage (current) to the pressure control
solenoid in order to control transmission line pressure. As the amperage increases,
the line pressure decreases. The amperage range is 0.01-1.10 and may
commanded in 0.1 amp increments. |
• | Output control may be initiated if the following enabling conditions
are met. |
- | The engine speed is less than 1000 RPM. |
- | The vehicle speed is less than 5 mph (8 km/h) |
- | The transmission range selector lever is in P or N. |
• | Output control may be cancelled at any time by pressing the EXIT
key on the scan tool. When you exit output control, the TCM determines the
commanded state of the pressure control solenoid. |
|
Power
Control Relay
| F4
|
• | The TCM commands the Power Control Relay ON or OFF. The value
of the Power Control Relay scan tool parameter should match the commanded
state. |
When you exit output control, the TCM determines the
commanded state of the Power Control Relay. |
|
Sport
Mode Lamp
| F1
|
• | The TCM commands the Sport Mode Lamp ON and OFF. The value of
the Sport Mode Lamp scan tool parameter should match the commanded state. |
• | Output control may be initiated if the ignition is ON. |
• | Output control may be cancelled at any time by pressing the EXIT
key on the scan tool. When you exit output control, the TCM determines the
commanded state of all TCM outputs. |
• | The Sport Mode shift program is not enabled by this output control. |
• | The scan tool output control overrides TCM control of the Sport
Mode Lamp when the Sport Mode shift program is selected. |
|
STL
(Early 1999 production and prior only)
| F7
|
• | The TCM commands the Service Transmission Lamp ON and OFF. The
value of the Service Transmission Lamp scan tool parameter should match the
commanded state. |
• | Output control may be initiated if the ignition is ON. |
• | Output control may be cancelled at any time by pressing the EXIT
key on the scan tool. When you exit output control, the TCM determines the
commanded state of the Service Transmission Lamp. |
|
TCC
Control Solenoid
| F3
|
• | The TCM commands the TCC Control Solenoid ON or OFF. The value
of the TCC control Solenoid scan tool parameter should match the commanded
state. |
• | Output control may be initiated if the following enabling conditions
are met. |
- | The engine speed is less than 1000 RPM. |
- | The vehicle speed is less than 5 mph (8 km/h) |
- | The transmission range selector lever is in P or N. |
• | Once output control is initiated successfully, the commanded state
of the TCC Control Solenoid may not be changed unless the enabling conditions
are met. |
• | The TCC Control Solenoid is fed with second clutch fluid pressure.
The TCC will not apply until the 1-2 upshift. The TCC will release when
the TCM commands the 2-1 downshift. |
• | Output control may be cancelled at any time by pressing the EXIT
key on the scan tool. When you exit output control, the TCM determines the
commanded state of the TCC Control Solenoid. |
|
Winter
Mode Lamp
| F0
|
• | The TCM commands the Winter Mode Lamp ON and OFF. The value of
the Winter Mode Lamp scan tool parameter should match the commanded state. |
• | Output control may be initiated if the ignition is ON. |
• | Output control may be cancelled at any time by pressing the EXIT
key on the scan tool. When you exit output control, the TCM determines the
commanded state of all TCM outputs. |
• | The Winter Mode shift program is not enabled by this output control. |
• | The scan tool output control overrides TCM control of the Winter
Mode Lamp when the Winter Mode shift program is selected. |
|
1-2/3-4
Shift Solenoid
| F2
|
• | The TCM commands the 1-2/3-4 shift solenoid ON or
OFF. The value of the 1-2/3-4 solenoid scan tool parameter should
match the commanded state. The value of the Commanded Gear scan tool parameter
should correspond with the shift solenoid combination. Refer to
Shift Solenoid Valve State and Gear Ratio
. |
• | Output control may be initiated if the following enabling conditions
are met. |
- | The engine speed is less than 1000 RPM. |
- | The vehicle speed is less than 5 mph (8 km/h) |
- | The transmission range selector lever is in P or N. |
• | Once output control is initiated successfully, the commanded state
of the 1-2/3-4 shift solenoid may not be changed unless the enabling
conditions are met. |
• | Output control may be cancelled at any time by pressing the EXIT
key on the scan tool. When you exit output control, the TCM determines the
commanded state of the 1-2/3-4 shift solenoid. |
|
2-3
Solenoid
| F5
|
• | The TCM commands the 2-3 shift solenoid ON or OFF. The value
of the 2-3 solenoid scan tool parameter should match the commanded state.
The value of the Commanded Gear scan tool parameter should correspond with
the shift solenoid combination. Refer to
Shift Solenoid Valve State and Gear Ratio
. |
• | Output control may be initiated if the following enabling conditions
are met. |
- | The engine speed is less than 1000 RPM. |
- | The vehicle speed is less than 5 mph (8 km/h) |
- | The transmission range selector lever is in P or N. |
• | Once output control is initiated successfully, the commanded state
of the 2-3 shift solenoid may not be changed unless the enabling conditions
are met. |
• | Output control may be cancelled at any time by pressing the EXIT
key on the scan tool. When you exit output control, the TCM determines the
commanded state of the 2-3 solenoid. |
