J 42418 Mini Wedge Door Striker Aligner

1. Open the rear door.



2. Loosen the rear door striker screws enough to allow movement of the striker.
3. Install J 42418 to striker.
4. Move the rear door striker up or down and inward or outward.
5. Close the rear door while holding the outside handle in the open position until door is flush with the adjacent panel.
6. Open the rear door.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

7. Install the rear door striker screws.

Tighten
Tighten the rear door striker screws to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

8. Remove the J 42418 from the striker.
9. Close the rear door.
