The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Some 2006 Cadillac DTS built prior to VIN 1G6KD57Y96U117960 may experience a condition in which the "Service Brake Assist" and "Service Stability" messages are displayed with no DTCs.

Recommendation/Instructions:

Replace the Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV) and reprogram the EBCM with the latest calibration using the Service Programming System (SPS).

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
