Battery Goes Dead (Reprogram Door Modules) - keywords DDM intermittent load module parasitic PDM

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

The vehicle battery discharges or becomes dead while the vehicle is parked.

The potential exist in vehicles Built before October 1, 2005 for the Driver Door Module (DDM) and or Passenger Door Module (PDM) to cause a high parasitic load on the battery. Reprogram the door modules using the most current calibration available.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
