The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
The customer may experience some or all of the following concerns:
No start, and/or IPC, Radio, and HVAC controls are blank. Further investigation will reveal the Tech2 will not communicate with the Low Speed GMLAN modules, or numerous DTC are stored in history, indicating a communication problem with the low speed bus.
The Rear Heated Seats are inoperative or turn on by themselves.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Inspect the Rear Seat Harness for chaffing on the seat back frame near C313 (see call out 1).
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
