For 1990-2009 cars only
The IPC illuminates the PARK indicator when one of the following conditions exists.
| • | The park brake is applied, the park brake switch closes and a low (ground) condition exists at IPC connector C2 terminal A1 (CKT 1134, LT BLU) and the ignition switch is in the RUN or START positions. |
| • | The ignition switch is turned to RUN, a five to seven second bulb check is performed by the IPC. |
The IPC illuminates the BRAKE indicator when one of the following conditions exists.
| • | The brake fluid level is low, the brake fluid level switch closes and a low (ground) condition exists at IPC connector C2 terminal A11 (CKT 849, PNK) and the ignition switch is in the RUN or START positions. Also, this condition results in a medium rate chime being activated and the message "Check Brake Fluid" being displayed on the Driver Information Center. |
| • | The ignition switch is turned to RUN, a five to seven second bulb check is performed by the IPC. |
