Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 105328  Size: SH
  1. Raise and Support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Disconnect the pressure hose from the power steering gear.
  3. Remove the mounting hold down brackets from the frame.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector to the hose.
  5. Remove the mounting hold down brackets from the head.

  7. Disconnect pressure line from the power steering pump.
  8. Remove the pressure hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the pressure hose in place.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the pressure hose to the pump.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the pressure hose nut to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).

  5. Install the mounting hold down bracket to the head.
  6. Connect the electrical connector to the pressure hose.
  7. Install the mounting hold down brackets to the frame.
  8. Connect the pressure hose to the power steering gear.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the pressure hose nut to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).
