Noise Diagnosis Blower Motor

Problem

Action

Foreign material is on the fan.

Remove the material.

The fan blades are broken or missing.

Replace the motor and fan assembly.

Internal blower motor damage exists.

Replace the motor and fan assembly.

Noise Diagnosis A/C Compressor

Problem

Action

The compressor mounting bolts are not tightened to specifications.

  1. Inspect the compressor torque.
  2. Inspect the compressor bolt torque.

The A/C compressor pulley bearing is in need of repair.

Replace the A/C compressor pulley and bearing.

The belt is slipping.

Inspect the following components:

    • The belt tensioner
    • The idler pulley
    • The belt

Noise Diagnosis A/C Refrigerant Lines/Hoses

A/C Refrigerant Lines/Hoses

Problem

Action

The lines or the hoses are grounded.

Reposition the A/C lines/hoses.

The lines or the hoses are rubbing on other components.

Reposition and secure the lines/hoses.

Noise Diagnosis A/C Module

Problem

Action

Foreign material is in the A/C module.

Remove the material from the case.

The A/C module is not tightened to specifications.

Tighten the A/C module to specifications.

The actuator door is damaged.

Repair or repair the doors.
