Rear Seat Belt Replacement DeVille

Removal Procedure

  1. Open the rear doors.
  2. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  3. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
  4. Remove the lower seat belt anchor bolt.
  5. Remove the quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

  6. Object Number: 161042  Size: MH
  7. Remove the seat belt guide loop bolt.
  8. Remove the retractor anchor bolts.
  9. Remove the belt assembly from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 161042  Size: MH
  1. Position the belt assembly to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the retractor anchor bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 41 N·m (30 lb ft).

  5. Position the guide loop.
  6. Install the guide loop bolt.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 41 N·m (30 lb ft).

  8. Install the quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  9. Install the lower seat belt anchor bolts.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 41 N·m (30 lb ft).

  11. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
  12. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  13. Close the rear doors.

Rear Seat Belt Replacement Eldorado

Removal Procedure

  1. Open the doors.
  2. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  3. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.

  4. Object Number: 161044  Size: MH
  5. Remove the lower seat belt anchor bolt.
  6. Remove the quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  7. Remove the retaining guide loop bolt and loop.
  8. Remove the retractor anchor bolts.
  9. Remove the belt assembly from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the retractor assembly to the vehicle.

    Tighten the bolt to 41 N·m (30 lb ft).

  10. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
  11. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  12. Close the doors.
