Compact Disc (CD) Skip
The compact disc (CD) changer has a shock absorbing system. The compact
disc player should only skip or mute under extremely hot operating temperatures,
or severe shock or vibration. If the customer travels on abnormally rough
roads, a skip condition may be normal. Test drive the vehicle on a
normal road with a known good CD. If the condition is still present,
replace the CD changer.
Compact Disc (CD) Player Error or Ejects
• | Inspect the CD for scratches or smudges. Clean the disc if necessary. |
• | Verify that the CDs and/or the CD magazine are loaded correctly. |
• | Verify that the compact disc player door is closed. |
• | During periods of high humidity, the CD or the CD player lens
may become temporarily fogged. Allow the CD changer and the CDs to warm up
in order to dissipate the moisture. |
