Radio Frequency Booster and Bracket Assembly Replacement DeVille

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  3. Disconnect the coaxial cable.
  4. Remove the nut from the right rear brace at the floor stud.
  5. Remove the 2 mounting screws.
  6. Remove the screws from the module to the mounting bracket.
  7. If you are replacing the brackets, remove the J-nuts from the brackets.

Installation Procedure

    Important: Use the following procedure if you are replacing the brackets or if you are installing new brackets.

  1. Install the 4 J-nuts to the bracket.
  2. Install the bracket to the module with the 4 screws.
  3. Align the module to the mounting points on the right inner wheel housing.
  4. Install the 2 screws at the upper mounting points.
  5. Install the nut to the brace stud.
  6. Connect the electrical connector.
  7. Connect the coaxial cable.
  8. Install the rear compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  3. Disconnect the coaxial cable.
  4. Remove the 3 mounting screws.
  5. Remove the screws from the module to the mounting bracket.
  6. If you are replacing the brackets, remove the J-nuts from the brackets.

Installation Procedure

    Important: Use the following procedure if you are replacing the brackets or if you are installing new brackets.

  1. Install the 2 J-nuts to the upper bracket.
  2. Install the 2 J-nuts to the lower module bracket.
  3. Install the upper and lower brackets to the module with the 2 screws on each bracket.
  4. Align the module to the mounting points on the right inner wheel housing.
  5. Install the mounting screws at each mounting point in order to secure the module.
  6. Connect the electrical connector.
  7. Connect the coaxial cable.
  8. Install the rear compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
