  1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
  2. Install a scan tool.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  4. Attempt to communicate with the body control module (PZM).

Does the scan tool communicate with the PZM?

  1. Select the DISPLAY PZM DTC function on the scan tool.
  2. Inspect the scan tool for communication DTCs.

Are any communication DTCs stored?

Select the DISPLAY PZM DTC function on the scan tool.

Is DTC B2719 current?

Attempt to communicate with the other systems connected to the same serial data line.

Does the scan tool communicate with the other systems?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  2. Use a digital multimeter (DMM) in order to backprobe between each PZM fuse and ground.

Does the voltage measure within the specified range?

10-15 V

  1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
  2. Disconnect the PZM connector C1 and connector C2.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  4. Use a DMM in order to backprobe between each PZM power circuit and ground.

Does the voltage measure within the specified range?

10-15 V

Use a DMM in order to backprobe between each PZM ground circuit and battery positive voltage (B+).

Does the voltage measure within the specified range?

10-15 V

Replace the PZM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.

Is the repair complete?

Repair a poor connection or an open in the ignition feed to the fuse that has no power. If the fuse is open, locate and repair the short to ground in the circuit connected to the open fuse.

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair a poor connection or an open in the PZM power circuit.

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Repair a poor connection or an open in the PZM ground circuit.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
  2. Reconnect or reinstall any connectors or components that were disconnected or removed.
  3. Turn ON the ignition switch.
  4. Clear all of the DTCs. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Clearing in HVAC System-Automatic
