Removal Procedure

  1. Open the hood and support the hood at the front.
  2. Mark the hinge locations on the hood panel and the fender.

  3. Place tape or other protection on the corner of the hood on the side where the hinge is to be removed.

  4. Object Number: 366270  Size: SH
  5. Remove the 2 bolts that retain the hinge (2) to the fender (3).
  6. Remove the 2 bolts that retain the hinge (2) to the hood (1).
  7. Remove the hinge (2).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 366270  Size: SH
  1. Position the hinge (2) to the hood (1) using the scribed locations.
  2. Install the 2 bolts in order to retain the hinge (2) to the hood (1).
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the 2 bolts in order to retain the hinge (2) to the fender (3).
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

  6. Remove the hood corner protection.
  7. Close the hood and inspect the hood for fit.
  8. Touch up any exposed or unpainted surface after you replace the hood.
