Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the upper filler panel. Refer to Filler Panel Replacement - Upper .
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls.
  3. Remove the engine compartment fuse and relay center cover.

    4. Object Number: 366262 Size: MH

    Important: Tie a string around the cable before you remove the cable from the vehicle in order to ensure proper routing and ease of installation.

  4. Remove the release cable from the primary latch.
  5. Remove the clips from the cable.
  6. Route the cable along the body rail toward the rear of the vehicle.
  7. Push the cable and the grommet into the passenger compartment.
  8. Remove the left sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  9. Remove the hood primary latch release handle. Refer to Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Handle Replacement .
  10. Remove the release cable from the handle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 366262 Size: MH
  1. Install the release cable to the handle.
  2. Install the hood primary latch release handle.
  3. Install the grommet to the cowl panel.

    4. Turn the grommet to the right in order to ease installation.

  4. Install the left sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  5. Route the cable along the body rail to the front of the vehicle.
  6. Install the release cable to the primary latch.
  7. Install the engine compartment fuse block cover.
  8. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls.
  9. Install the upper filler panel. Refer to Filler Panel Replacement - Upper .
