Front Fender Insulator Replacement DeVille

1. Remove the wheelhouse assembly. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement .



2. Remove the nut (2) from the top of the sound insulator (1).
3. Remove the screws (3) that retain the sound insulator (1) to the body.
4. Remove the fender sound insulator (1).

1. Install the fender sound insulator (1).
2. Install the screws (3) in order to retain the sound insulator (1) to the body.
3. Install the nut (2) to the top of the sound insulator (1).

Important: Ensure that the sunroof drain hoses (4), if equipped, are routed over the sound insulator. Otherwise, water may enter the vehicle.

4. Install the wheelhouse assembly. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement .

Front Fender Insulator Replacement Eldorado

1. Remove the wheelhouse assembly. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement .



2. Remove the push-in retainer (2) from the top of the sound insulator (1).
3. Remove the screws (3) in order to retain the sound insulator (1) to the body.
4. Remove the fender sound insulator (1).

1. Install the fender sound insulator (1).
2. Install the screws (3) in order to retain the sound insulator (1) to the body.
3. Install the push-in retainer (2) to the top of the sound insulator (1).

Important: Ensure that the sunroof drain hoses (4), if equipped, are routed over the sound insulator. Otherwise, water may enter the vehicle.

4. Install the wheelhouse assembly. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement .
