Did you perform the Power Windows System Check?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. On the DeVille model, use a J 39200 digital multimeter (DMM) in order to backprobe the left front power window switch from connector C2 terminal C (PNK) to ground.
  3. On the Eldorado model, use a J 39200 DMM in order to backprobe the left front power window switch from the connector C1 terminal H (PNK) to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

  1. On the DeVille model, use a J 39200 DMM in order to backprobe the left front power window switch between connector C2 terminal C (PNK) and terminal A (BLK).
  2. On the Eldorado model, use a J 39200 DMM in order to backprobe the left front power window switch between connector C1 terminal H (PNK) and terminal G (BLK).

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 5

Repair the open or short to ground in CKT 70 (PNK). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the left front power window switch. Refer to the appropriate procedure:
