Did you perform the Power Window System Check?

  1. Turn ON the ignition.
  2. Use a J 39200 digital multimeter (DMM) in order to backprobe the left front power window switch from CKT 165 (BRN) to CKT 164 (DK BLU).
  3. Press the left front power window UP switch, then the window DOWN switch on the left front power window switch.

Is the voltage within the specified range in both positions?

10-15 V

Go to Step 4

Replace the left front power window switch. Refer to the appropriate procedure:

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect the left front power window motor.
  2. Connect a J 39200 DMM between the power window motor connector terminal A and terminal B.
  3. Press the left front power window UP switch, then the window DOWN switch on the left front power window switch.

Is the voltage within the specified range in both positions?

10-15 V

Go to Step 5

Replace the left front power window motor. Refer to Door Window Regulator Motor Replacement .

Test CKT 165 (BRN) for an open.

Is the circuit OK?

Repair the open in CKT 165 (BRN). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in CKT 164 (DK BLU). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?
