  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Inspect the operation of the power windows.

Do the power windows operate?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the sunroof control module connector C1 and connector C2.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  4. Inspect for voltage between the sunroof control module connector C1 terminal C (PNK) and ground.

Is battery voltage present?

Go to Step 5

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Inspect for voltage between the sunroof control module connector C1 terminal C and terminal D.

Is battery voltage present?

Repair the open in CKT 70 (PNK).

Is the repair complete?

System OK

  1. Using the J39200 (DMM), measure the resistance between the sunroof control module connector C2 terminal 5 and terminal 6.
  2. Press the sunroof switch to the FORWARD/OPEN VENT position.

Does the resistance go from OL (infinite) to the specified value or less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Go to Step 12

Repair the open in CKT 1250 (BLK).

Is the repair complete?

  1. Using the J39200 (DMM), measure the resistance between the sunroof control module connector C2 terminal 5 and terminal 7.
  2. Press the sunroof switch to REVERSE/CLOSE VENT.

Does the resistance go from OL (infinite) to the specified value or less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Go to Step 11

  1. Test for an open or short to ground in CKT 128 (DK BLU).
  2. Ensure that the sunroof switch connector is clean and tight.
  3. If CKT 128 is OK, replace the sunroof switch. Refer to Sunroof Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

  1. Test CKT 100 (BRN) for an open or short to ground.
  2. Ensure that the sunroof switch connector is clean and tight.
  3. If CKT 100 is OK, replace the sunroof switch. Refer to Sunroof Switch Replacement .

  1. Using the J39200 (DMM), measure the resistance between the sunroof control module connector C2 terminal 5 (DK BLU) and terminal 7 (ORN).
  2. Press the sunroof switch to REVERSE/CLOSE VENT.

Does the resistance go from OL (infinite) to equal or less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Go to Step 13

  1. Open the sunroof. Use the manual method, Refer to Sunroof Manual Operation .
  2. Using the J39200 (DMM), measure the resistance between the sunroof control module connector C2 terminal 1 and terminal 8.

Is the resistance equal to the specified value?

5 ohms

  1. Test for an open or short to ground in CKT 110 (ORN).
  2. Ensure that the sunroof switch terminals are clean and tight.
  3. If CKT 110 is OK, replace the sunroof switch. Refer to Sunroof Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

  1. Close the sunroof.
  2. Connect a fused jumper between the sunroof control module connector C1 terminal C (PNK) and terminal B (LT GRN).
  3. With the first jumper between connector C1 terminal A (DK GRN) and terminal D (BLK).

Does the sunroof motor run?

  1. Test CKT 132 (RED) for a short to ground.
  2. If CKT 132 is OK, replace the sunroof actuator. Refer to Power Sunroof Motor Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

System OK

  1. Verify that the sunroof control module connectors C1 and C2 are clean and tight.
  2. If the connectors are OK, replace the sunroof control module. Refer to Power Sunroof Express Module Replacement .

  1. Test CKT 129 (LT GRN) for an open or short to ground.
  2. Test CKT 127 (DK GRN) for an open.
  3. Ensure that the sunroof control module connectors C1 and C2 are clean and tight.
  4. If the connectors are OK, replace the sunroof actuator. Refer to Power Sunroof Motor Replacement .

Is the repair complete?
