Removal Procedure
- Remove the seat back cover.
Remove the cushion. Refer to
Front Seat Back Trim Replacement
.
- Remove the 2 seat cushion trim panel fasteners from the
front and back of the panel.
In order to release the center retainer, slide the panel upward.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the power seat switch.
- Remove the seat cushion cover by unhooking the J-channel from
the seat frame.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors, if equipped with heated
or power lumbar seats.
- Remove the 2 roll
pins retaining the reclining actuator to the seat back hinge.
- Remove the 2 hinge bolts.
- Remove the seat frame (1).
Installation Procedure
- Install the seat frame (1).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the 2 hinge
bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the hinge bolt to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).
- Install the 2 roll pins retaining the reclining actuator to the
seat back hinge.
- Connect the electrical connectors, if equipped with the heated
or power lumbar seats.
- Install the seat cushion cover by unhooking the J-channel from
the seat frame.
- Connect the electrical connector power seat switch.
- Install the seat cushion trim panel.
- Remove the retainer from the seat frame.
- Install the retainer into the center of the trim panel before
the installation.
- Snap the center panel into the seat frame.
- Install the 2 fasteners.
- Install the seat back cover and cushion. Refer to
