Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 370950  Size: SH
  1. From inside the rear compartment, remove the 2 nuts from behind the rear compartment trim.
  2. Remove the nuts (3) from the wheelhouse area.
  3. Important: 

       • If you are using a bladed tool, protect the surrounding surfaces.
       • Use care not to damage the paint.

  4. Split the foam tape using a braided wire or a thin bladed tool inserted between the molding (1) and the sheet metal.
  5. Important: Do not use rotating adhesive removal discs on moldings. This generates excessive heat which may cause molding damage.

  6. Remove the old adhesive from the panel and the molding if you are reusing the molding.
  7. Use 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner 08984 or an equivalent. You may also use 3M Scotch-Brite Adhesive Removal Discs on the body panels.

Installation Procedure

  1. If you are reusing the molding, apply new adhesive tape to the molding (1).
  2. Align the molding.
  3. If needed, mark the reference on the body with masking tape in order to aid in alignment once the adhesive liner is removed.

  4. Remove the backing from the tape.
  5. Align and press the molding to the quarter panel:
  6. • Wear clean gloves or use a clean towel while you perform this step.
    • Apply heavy hand pressure against the upper and the lower tape locations in order to assure proper wetout of the adhesive.
    •  Rub along the entire length of the molding.
  7. Install the 3 nuts (3).
