For 1990-2009 cars only
- Remove any trim that might obstruct your view.
- Use an assistant inside of the vehicle in order to detect the actual leak point.
- Use a unrestricted water flow (a hose with no nozzle).
- When water testing weather-strips, refer to the following list:
- Begin the water test at the base of suspected leak area and slowly move upward.
- Mark the location of the leak.
| • | Aim the water so that the water falls only on the window side or only on the body panel side of a weather-strip, or tape across the weather-strip between the body panel and the weather-strip. |
| • | Remove the tape and test again. This will help in determining whether the leak is between the weather-strip and the window or between the weather-strip and the retainer. |
