Circuit Description

Power for these relays is provided by the body control module (PZM) through connector C2 terminal C16.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The exterior lamps are commanded on for at least 300 ms and the PZM determines that CKT 352 (WHT) is shorted to ground for at least 2 consecutive monitoring cycles.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

The PZM commands the exterior lamps OFF and then attempts to turn the lamps back ON every 1200 ms.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

    • The exterior lamps are commanded ON and PZM does not detect the condition for 2 consecutive monitoring cycles. The DTC changes to history.
    • A history DTC clears after 50 consecutive ignition cycles if the condition is no longer present.

Diagnostic Aids

The PZM has a non-serviceable, surface-mounted fuse. The fuse may open if CKT 352 (WHT) is shorted to ground.

Test Description

The number(s) below refer to the step number(s) on the diagnostic table.

  1. This step tests the internal surface-mounted fuse in the PZM for an open caused by a short to ground in CKT 352 (WHT).
