Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear seat back.
Refer to
Rear Seat Back Replacement
in Seats.
- Remove the 4 RF booster fasteners (1) from the bay board
on the passenger side of the vehicle.
- Remove the rear compartment
trim. Refer to
Rear Compartment Front Trim Panel Replacement
in Body Rear End.
- Remove the coaxial antenna cable from the RF booster (1).
- Remove the RF booster (1) from the rear compartment.
Installation Procedure
- Position the RF booster (1)
in the rear compartment.
Install the coaxial antenna cable to the RF Booster (1).
- With the aid of a helper,
hold the RF booster in position and install the 4 fasteners (1) through
the bay board to the RF Booster.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the fasteners (1).
Tighten
Torque the fasteners to 1.6 N·m (14 lb in).
- Install the rear compartment trim. Refer to
Rear Compartment Front Trim Panel Replacement
in Body Rear End.
- Install the rear seat back. Refer to
Rear Seat Back Replacement
in Seats.
