Cellular Telephone Module Replacement UV8 w/o UE1

1. Remove the rear storage compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Front Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
2. Remove the bay board fasteners (2).
3. Pull the bay board (1) away from the body and place the bay board  (1) module side up in the rear compartment.



4. Disconnect the electrical connection (2) from the Cellular telephone module (Cellular Phone Interface Unit) (1).
5. Remove the Cellular telephone module (1) by releasing the tab and pulling Cellular telephone module from the lower mounting on the bay board.

1. Install the Cellular telephone module (1) to the bay board
2. Push in on the top of the module (1) until an audible click is heard, indicating the module (1) is securely fastened to the bay board.
3. Install the electrical connection (2) to the cellular telephone module (1).
4. Install the bay board (1) to the vehicle body.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.




5. Install the bay board fasteners (2).

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners (2) to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

6. Install the rear compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Front Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.

Cellular Telephone Module Replacement UV8 and UE1

1. Remove the rear compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Front Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the cellular telephone module.
3. Remove the four fasteners (3) retaining the Cellular telephone module and bracket assembly (2) to the rear shelf carrier (1).
4. Remove the Cellular telephone module and mounting bracket assembly (2) from the rear shelf carrier.



5. Release the Cellular telephone module mounting bracket retaining tabs (2) and slide the Cellular telephone module (3) out of the mounting bracket (1).

1. Slide the Cellular telephone module (3) into the mounting bracket (1), until an audible click is heard , indicating the Cellular telephone module (3) is secured in the mounting bracket (2).



2. Install the Cellular telephone module and mounting bracket assembly (2) to the rear shelf carrier (1).
3. Install the Cellular telephone module mounting bracket fasteners (3).
4. Connect the electrical connector.
5. Install the rear compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Front Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
