1. Install a scan tool.
2. With a scan tool, observe the Ambient Light Sensor parameter in the IPM data list.
3. Cover the ambient light sensor.

Does the Ambient Light Sensor parameter change?

Replace the ambient light sensor. Refer to Sun Load Sensor Replacement in HVAC Systems - Automatic.

Replace the headlamp switch. Refer to Headlamp Switch Replacement .

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
