Did you perform the Lighting Systems Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  2. Disconnect the turn signal switch.
  3. Probe the feed circuit of the turn signal switch with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 3

Connect a fused jumper wire between the feed circuit of the turn signal switch and the appropriate turn signal output at the turn signal switch.

Do the appropriate turn lamps flash?

Go to Step 4

Inspect for poor connections at the turn signal switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 9

Replace the turn signal switch. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal, and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle .

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 9

Inspect for poor connections at the turn/hazard flasher module. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 9

Replace the turn/hazard flasher module. Refer to Hazard and Turn Signal Flasher Replacement .

Did you complete the replacement?

Repair the open in the turn signal switch feed circuit. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
