  1. Move the vehicle into sufficient darkness to activate the ambient light sensor (or cover the ambient light sensor).
  2. Turn ON the ignition.
  3. Turn the headlamp switch on.
  4. Place the head-up display (HUD) control to maximum intensity.
  5. Cover the lower windshield with a mat.
  6. The head-up display (HUD) turns on.
  7. The HUD displays the night vision system logo.

Wait 45 seconds.

After 45 seconds, the thermal video image from the night vision camera appears on the HUD.

Move the HUD control dim switch from maximum to minimum.

The HUD intensity dims.

  1. Move the HUD control dim switch to maximum.
  2. Use the HUD control up/down switch to adjust the position of the HUD image up and down.

The HUD image moves up and down on the windshield.

  1. Turn the HUD control to off.
  2. Turn the HUD control back on.

The HUD image turns off, then back on. The HUD night vision image is present without a new 45-second warm-up sequence.

Turn off the engine.

The HUD night vision image disappears and the HUD turns off.
