Go to Diagnostic System Check - Power Door Systems

1. Check to see that the personalization function has been enabled.
2. If the personalization function is not already enabled, enable it.
3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
4. Adjust both outside rearview mirrors to your preference.
5. With the memory switch, set the personalization recall to your adjustments.
6. Adjust both outside rearview mirrors to an extreme position.
7. Turn OFF the ignition.
8. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

Did both outside rearview mirrors move back to your preferred setting?

1. Install a scan tool
2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
3. With the scan tool, observe the Sensor parameters in the Data list of the driver door module, then the passenger front door module while moving the driver door mirror and the passenger front door mirror.

Did the Sensor values change?

Go to Step 4

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the outside rear view mirror. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 8

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the outside rear view mirror. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 6

Replace the inoperative outside rear view mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 8

Replace the door module of the inoperative mirror. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 8

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
